Port Saeed is the oldest commercial district and is home to many cultural attractions of the UAE. The port established by Saeed Ahmed Lootah is named after an Egyptian city destroyed during the Suez Crisis in the Anglo-French invasion. Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club occupies most of the port.
